Neuroendocrine tumours of the prostate represent a heterogeneous group that includes conventional adenocarcinomas of the prostate with focal differentiation, tumours with Paneth-cell-like neuroendocrine differentiation, carcinoid tumours, large-cell neuroendocrine carcinomas (LCNECs) and small-cell carcinomas (SCCs).
